(VIDEO) How to Make Wooden Boxes

The most precious things are those which we made by ourselves. You don't have always to buy final products or to hire craftsmen to finish them for you. If you have little skils and imagination you can make home elements according to your needs and exact measurments. That's why we decided to show you how to make wooden boxes.

Materials that you need for this DIY project:

• wooden board - size and thickness depend on how large box you want to make;
• wood glue;
• hinges - for connecting cover with the body of the box. Number of hinges also depends on the  size of the box you want to make.

Tools that you need for this project:

• jigsaw - for precise cutting of board by wanted dimensions. This part you could do with hand saw, but with more effort and less accuracy;
• planer - in case that you want the board to be smooth;
• accu-drill - for fastening hinges between cover and the body. Additionally, you could use it for crown drilling.

After you calculate accurately needed dimensions of box parts, transfer them on the board and start working.

Afterwards, you can decorate the box with wood colors or technique decoupage which we described earlier. All material and tools that you need for this project you can find in all Okov stores at affordable prices.
