Bijelo Polje: Spectacular opening of big Okov store

Yesterday in Bijelo Polje, in a grand style, a new Okov center was opened. If the morning does show how the day will be, then we can safely say that this town was truly in need of such a big, modern and well equipped shop: the customers’ reactions were highly positive.
The event began at 9:30 AM, with a special ceremony, an interesting performance of the local cultural club “Tekstilac”. After that, the general director Mr. Gojko Bajovic gave a speech emphasizing the importance Bijelo Polje has for company Okov, and expressed his belief that the new Okov center will also have great importance for the people of Bijelo Polje. In his words, many were convinced that we do not have much appreciation for this town, as it was the last to get an Okov center. The truth is, in fact, the opposite – it is because we recognize and respect the significance and potential of Bijelo Polje, we patiently planned and executed this project. More than with any other Okov center, here we applied all our knowledge on trade, acquired throughout decades from the foundation of our company. In this sense, this opening completes the most successful cycle in the history of Okov, in which the company has grown into a chain of modern retail stores, successfully operating nationwide.
At 10:00 AM, the store was officially opened for customers. We heard many thrilling comments: some people were pleased with the widened assortment of tools and work equipment, others with the finding that we now have a large section for household items... But there is one thing they all agreed on: the store has "world class appearance” and has all the qualities needed for an enjoyable shopping experience.
The long awaited concert of four super finalists of the talent show “Pinkove zvezdice” we organized for townspeople on the end of our first working day, was a great success, in spite of not so good weather. And somewhere on the middle of the night, the atmosphere was stirred up to the highest, thank to spectacular fireworks.
The big, new Okov center occupies over 2.000 square meters. The store is divided in two levels – both of which have their own entrances and cash registers, along with large parking areas. It will permanently employ over 30 people.
